The Tobacco Retail Licensing Ordinance establishes a license program to regulate tobacco retail sales in the City of Walnut and prohibits the sale of all flavored tobacco products.

Ordinance 22-03 went into effect on April 9, 2022. However, any retailer who sells tobacco products needs to acquire an annual Tobacco Retail License from the City of Walnut beginning July 1, 2022.

Furthermore, the sale of flavored tobacco products, including menthol cigarettes, is also prohibited effective July 1, 2022.
