Effective March 17, 2020, the City of Walnut is closed to the public as part of the nationwide effort to reduce the community spread of the Coronavirus. As a result, the City of Walnut will not be able to reload Foothill Transit Passes and MTA EZ Passes. For residents who currently have a Metrolink Quick Card, the City will be able to process payment (check only/NO CASH) and activate cards. Residents are asked to fill out the Metrolink Quick Card order form found here, place their application and payment (check only/NO CASH) in a secured envelope, and drop it in the dropbox located to the right of the main doors at City Hall. Staff will process the application the following business day. Your check will serve as your receipt.  However, if you would like the standard monthly receipt, please include a self-address stamped envelope with your payment.

“Metrolink monthly passes for the Riverside Line (Industry Station on Brea Canyon Road to Los Angeles Union Station) are sold at a discounted rate to Walnut residents. Passes can be purchased at Walnut City Hall located at 21201 La Puente Road, Monday through Thursday from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. 

On Wednesday, September 10, 2014, the Walnut City Council took action to adopt Resolution No. 14-46, establishing the Metrolink subsidy at $32 per pass. This subsidy increase will take effect beginning with passes sold for the month of October.

The Metrolink "After Hour Sale" at Senior Center is discontinued due to Metrolink changing to the new Metrolink Quick Card Program. With this new program, residents will have the convenience of mailing order and payments.
