Online Recreation Registration is the best way to register! Instead of planning your day around registration, with the click of a button, it can easily fit into your day! Please note that residency will be verified.
ATTENTION:
The City has converted to an improved online registration system called ActiveNet. Customers will no longer need to remember an assigned pin code; instead they will use their e-mail address to set up their own unique user name and password. Since this is a new system, all customers, new and returning, will need to create a new account for themselves. The new system will be available for account creation beginning December 2, 2013. Customers are encouraged to log onto the new system and create their accounts prior to the start of Winter registration.
To create a new account, click on the “View/Register” link below and you will be redirected to the ActiveNet main page for the City of Walnut.
Once on the ActiveNet main page, follow the easy steps:
1. Select the “Create Account” button and fill out all the required information, including your username, password, contact information and e-mail address.
2. When done, click on “Submit and Add Family Member.” Add the names and ages of your family members. If you are not adding any additional family members to your account, or you have already added all your additional family members, click on “Submit.”
3. You will receive an e-mail message automatically after submitting your request for an account. Your account will not be activated until you have responded by clicking on the link provided in the e-mail message.

Please note that any applicable registration fees are not refundable unless the City cancels a class or activity. Your refund will be mailed within 30 calendar days. Please call the Senior Center at (909) 598-6200 regarding refunds for Senior Center related programs.
For those classes that meet less than three times, we request that you notify Community Services of your intent to cancel at least 48 hours prior to the first class meeting.

Refunds for day excursions and certain special events may be obtained after all the reservations have been sold and then only if Community Services is able to resell your reservation. When trips/reservations are canceled by the City, an automatic refund will be processed and mailed to you within 30 calendar days. Again, registration fees are not refundable unless the City cancels an excursion. Reservations that include overnight accommodations may require up to 30 days refund request notice, due to hotel policies.
Photo Policy: On occasion, staff or independent photographers of the Community Services Department may take photographs or videos of participants in our programs, parks, and special events. Please be aware that these are for the department's use in future brochures, pamphlets or for local public access. If you object to having photos of you or your family used for future publication, you should notify the photographer at the time the photo is taken.
